Kauris-CPS 1 Injection is indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible strains, including lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, septicemia, and gynecological infections. The drug exhibits potent activity against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, including beta-lactamase producing strains of Escherichia coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Staphylococcus aureus.
Administration is typically via intravenous or intramuscular injection as per the severity and site of infection, with dosage adjusted according to renal function and clinical response. Adverse effects are generally mild and may include gastrointestinal disturbances, hypersensitivity reactions, and transient hematological changes.
