Kardinac-MR Tablet is a combination analgesic and muscle relaxant formulation containing Aceclofenac (100mg), Paracetamol (325mg), and Chlorzoxazone (250mg). Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol provides additional analgesic and antipyretic benefits through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, enhancing pain relief and fever reduction. Chlorzoxazone acts as a centrally acting muscle relaxant that alleviates muscle spasms and associated discomfort by depressing polysynaptic reflexes in the spinal cord. Kardinac-MR is indicated for the management of musculoskeletal conditions such as strains, sprains, back pain, and other painful muscle spasms where inflammation and muscle stiffness coexist. The synergistic combination ensures effective relief from pain, inflammation, and muscle spasm, improving patient mobility and comfort. It is recommended to be used under medical supervision, considering contraindications such as hypersensitivity to any component, active peptic ulcer, severe hepatic or renal impairment, and caution in patients with cardiovascular risks.
