This dual action results in reduced myocardial oxygen demand by decreasing preload and afterload, thereby improving coronary blood flow and alleviating anginal symptoms. K-Ion is indicated for the prophylactic treatment of chronic stable angina and may be used when conventional anti-anginal therapies are insufficient or contraindicated. The recommended dosage should be individualized based on clinical response and tolerability, with careful monitoring for potential adverse effects such as headache, dizziness, flushing, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
Caution is advised in patients with hypotension, severe hepatic or renal impairment, and those concurrently using other vasodilators or phosphodiesterase inhibitors.
