This results in reduced myocardial oxygen demand by decreasing preload and afterload, thereby improving coronary blood flow and alleviating ischemic chest pain. K-Cor 5 is indicated for the prophylactic treatment of chronic stable angina and is often prescribed when beta-blockers or calcium channel blockers are insufficient or contraindicated. The tablet should be administered orally, typically once or twice daily, with dosage adjustments based on clinical response and tolerability. Common adverse effects may include headache, flushing, dizziness, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
