Polmacoxib, a novel nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), selectively inhibits cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), thereby reducing inflammation and pain with a lower risk of gastrointestinal side effects compared to traditional NSAIDs. Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, provides effective analgesic and antipyretic action by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. This combination is indicated for the management of mild to moderate pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and postoperative pain, as well as for reducing fever.
