Joyace MR Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Thiocolchicoside (4mg), Aceclofenac (100mg), and Paracetamol (325mg). This formulation is primarily indicated for the management of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation associated with conditions such as acute muscle spasms, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and soft tissue injuries. Thiocolchicoside acts as a muscle relaxant by selectively inhibiting gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and glycine receptors, thereby alleviating muscle stiffness and spasms. Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects through the inhibition of cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to decreased prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol contributes additional analgesic and antipyretic properties by central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. The combined action of these three agents provides effective relief from pain, inflammation, and muscle spasm, improving patient mobility and comfort. Joyace MR Tablet should be used under medical supervision, with caution advised in patients with hepatic, renal, or gastrointestinal impairments.
