Each 5ml of the suspension provides 100mg of Ofloxacin, which acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes critical for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination, thereby preventing bacterial cell division and growth.

Jox Suspension is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain sexually transmitted infections. It is particularly useful in pediatric patients or individuals who have difficulty swallowing tablets, offering an easy-to-administer oral formulation. The dosage and duration of therapy should be determined based on the severity of infection, patient age, renal function, and susceptibility of the causative organism.
Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, as well as potential hypersensitivity reactions. Caution is advised in patients with a history of tendon disorders related to fluoroquinolones, and concurrent use with corticosteroids should be avoided due to increased risk of tendon rupture. Jox Suspension should be used under medical supervision, with adherence to prescribed dosage to minimize resistance development and ensure therapeutic efficacy.
