Jointrova-Cam Sublingual Tablet contains Piroxicam 20 mg, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) indicated for the management of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. Piroxicam exerts its therapeutic effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and fever.

The sublingual formulation allows for rapid absorption through the oral mucosa, leading to a quicker onset of action compared to conventional oral tablets. Jointrova-Cam is particularly useful in patients requiring prompt relief from acute pain episodes or those with difficulty swallowing. It is recommended to administer the tablet under the tongue until completely dissolved, avoiding ingestion with water to maximize bioavailability.
Caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding disorders, renal or hepatic impairment, and cardiovascular diseases. Concomitant use with other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, or corticosteroids should be monitored closely due to increased risk of adverse effects. Common side effects include gastrointestinal discomfort, dizziness, and rash. Jointrova-Cam Sublingual Tablet should be used at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration necessary to minimize potential risks.
