Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol complements this action by providing effective analgesia and antipyresis through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, without significant anti-inflammatory activity. Serratiopeptidase, a proteolytic enzyme, facilitates the breakdown of inflammatory mediators and promotes the resolution of edema and inflammation. The synergistic combination in Jointprize-SP is indicated for the management of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, postoperative pain, and soft tissue injuries. This formulation offers enhanced symptomatic relief by targeting multiple pathways involved in pain and inflammation.
