Jflo Oral Suspension contains Ofloxacin 50 mg per 5 ml and is a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for DNA replication, transcription, repair, and recombination.

Jflo Oral Suspension is commonly prescribed for respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and certain gastrointestinal infections caused by susceptible organisms. The oral suspension formulation allows for ease of administration, particularly in pediatric and geriatric populations or patients with difficulty swallowing tablets. Dosage should be individualized based on the severity of infection, patient age, renal function, and susceptibility of the causative organism.
It is important to complete the full prescribed course to prevent the development of resistance. Adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances, headache, dizziness, and, rarely, tendonitis or tendon rupture. Jflo Oral Suspension should be used with caution in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to fluoroquinolones and those with predisposing conditions for tendon disorders.
