Metformin, a biguanide, primarily reduces hepatic glucose production and increases peripheral insulin sensitivity, facilitating better glucose uptake by muscle tissues.

Jceler M Jceler M2 Tablet PR is typically prescribed as part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan, including lifestyle modifications such as diet and physical activity. It is contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe renal or hepatic impairment, and conditions predisposing to hypoxia.
