Jbtor 5 Tablet contains Torasemide 5mg, a potent loop diuretic used primarily in the management of edema associated with congestive heart failure, renal impairment, and hepatic cirrhosis. Torasemide acts by inhibiting the sodium-potassium-chloride co-transporter in the thick ascending limb of the loop of Henle, promoting increased excretion of sodium, chloride, and water, thereby reducing fluid overload.

This mechanism helps alleviate symptoms such as swelling and breathlessness caused by fluid retention. Jbtor 5 Tablet is also indicated for the treatment of hypertension, either as monotherapy or in combination with other antihypertensive agents, contributing to blood pressure reduction through its diuretic effect. The drug exhibits a longer half-life and greater bioavailability compared to other loop diuretics, allowing for once-daily dosing and improved patient compliance.
Careful monitoring of electrolyte levels, renal function, and blood pressure is recommended during therapy to prevent potential adverse effects such as hypokalemia, dehydration, or renal impairment. Jbtor 5 Tablet should be used under medical supervision, with dosage adjustments tailored to individual patient needs and clinical response.
