Jardix 25 Tablet contains Empagliflozin 25 mg, a selective sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Empagliflozin acts by inhibiting SGLT2 in the proximal renal tubules, reducing glucose reabsorption and promoting urinary glucose excretion, thereby lowering plasma glucose levels. Jardix 25 is prescribed as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes.

Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in reducing HbA1c, fasting plasma glucose, and postprandial glucose levels. Additionally, Empagliflozin has shown cardiovascular benefits, including reduced risk of cardiovascular death in patients with established cardiovascular disease. The recommended dosage is one tablet daily, taken orally with or without food, and dosage adjustments may be necessary based on renal function.
Common adverse effects include urinary tract infections, genital mycotic infections, and increased urination. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, hypotension, or a history of ketoacidosis. Jardix 25 should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. Regular monitoring of renal function and glycemic parameters is recommended during therapy to ensure safety and efficacy.

How to use Jardix Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Jardix 25 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
