Jankey DM 10mg/1000mg/100mg Tablet is a combination oral antidiabetic medication containing dapagliflozin 10mg, metformin 1000mg, and sitagliptin 100mg. This fixed-dose formulation is indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus in patients inadequately controlled on diet and exercise alone or those requiring combination therapy to achieve optimal glycemic control. Dapagliflozin, a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor, promotes renal glucose excretion, thereby reducing plasma glucose levels. Metformin, a biguanide, primarily decreases hepatic glucose production and improves peripheral insulin sensitivity. Sitagliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, enhances incretin hormone activity, leading to increased insulin release and decreased glucagon secretion in a glucose-dependent manner.
