Etoricoxib, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, provides effective analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by selectively inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis responsible for pain and inflammation. Thiocolchicoside is a muscle relaxant with anti-inflammatory properties that acts by antagonizing glycine and GABA receptors, leading to relief from muscle spasms and stiffness. The combination of these two agents offers synergistic benefits, addressing both pain and muscle spasm components commonly seen in musculoskeletal conditions.
