Ixarola 15mg Tablet contains Rivaroxaban, a selective direct Factor Xa inhibitor used as an oral anticoagulant to prevent and treat thromboembolic disorders. By inhibiting Factor Xa, Ixarola effectively reduces thrombin generation and thrombus development without the need for antithrombin III. It is indicated for the prevention of stroke and systemic embolism in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, treatment and secondary prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE), and for thromboprophylaxis in patients undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery.

Ixarola offers predictable pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, allowing for fixed dosing without routine coagulation monitoring. The tablet should be administered orally with food to enhance absorption. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, hepatic dysfunction, or increased bleeding risk. Contraindications include active pathological bleeding and conditions predisposing to major bleeding.
Common adverse effects include bleeding events, which may range from minor to severe. Patients should be monitored for signs of hemorrhage and counseled on adherence and potential drug interactions, particularly with other anticoagulants, antiplatelet agents, and certain CYP3A4 inhibitors or inducers.
