Iwutor 90 Tablet contains Etoricoxib 90 mg, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor used primarily for the management of pain and inflammation associated with various musculoskeletal and inflammatory conditions. Etoricoxib exerts its therapeutic effect by selectively inhibiting the COX-2 enzyme, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in inflammation and pain without significantly affecting COX-1, which helps preserve gastrointestinal mucosal protection. Iwutor 90 is indicated for the treatment of osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gouty arthritis. It is also effective in managing chronic musculoskeletal pain and postoperative pain. The recommended dosage should be individualized based on the severity of symptoms and patient response, with caution advised in patients with cardiovascular risk factors, renal impairment, or gastrointestinal disorders. Common adverse effects may include headache, dizziness, hypertension, and gastrointestinal discomfort, although the risk of gastrointestinal ulceration is lower compared to non-selective NSAIDs.
