Iverdel-Forte Injection is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amikacin 250 mg and Cefepime 1000 mg, designed for the treatment of severe bacterial infections. Amikacin, an aminoglycoside antibiotic, exerts bactericidal activity by binding irreversibly to the 30S ribosomal subunit, inhibiting protein synthesis in susceptible Gram-negative bacteria. Cefepime, a fourth-generation cephalosporin, exhibits broad-spectrum bactericidal action by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

The synergistic combination enhances antimicrobial efficacy, making Iverdel-Forte suitable for complicated infections such as septicemia, lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and febrile neutropenia. Administration is typically via intravenous or intramuscular injection under medical supervision.
Dosage and duration depend on infection severity, patient condition, and renal function. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, ototoxicity risk, or hypersensitivity to aminoglycosides or cephalosporins.
