Ivasafe 5 Tablet contains Ivabradine 5mg, a selective inhibitor of the If current in the sinoatrial node, used primarily for the management of chronic stable angina pectoris and heart failure. By reducing the heart rate without affecting myocardial contractility or intracardiac conduction, Ivabradine helps to decrease myocardial oxygen demand, thereby alleviating angina symptoms and improving exercise tolerance. It is indicated in patients with stable angina who are intolerant to or inadequately controlled by beta-blockers, as well as in patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) who are in sinus rhythm with a resting heart rate above 70 beats per minute despite optimal standard therapy.
