Ivables OD 10mg Tablet contains Ivabradine 10mg, a selective sinus node If current inhibitor used primarily for the treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris and heart failure. Ivabradine works by specifically inhibiting the pacemaker If current in the sinoatrial node, resulting in heart rate reduction without affecting myocardial contractility or intracardiac conduction. This action helps to decrease myocardial oxygen demand, thereby alleviating angina symptoms and improving exercise tolerance in patients with stable angina. Additionally, Ivabradine is indicated for patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) who are in sinus rhythm with a resting heart rate of ≥70 beats per minute despite optimal standard therapy, including beta-blockers or when beta-blockers are contraindicated or not tolerated. Ivables OD 10mg is administered orally once daily, providing convenient dosing and sustained therapeutic effect. Common adverse effects may include bradycardia, luminous phenomena (phosphenes), headache, and dizziness. It is contraindicated in patients with acute decompensated heart failure, severe hypotension, sick sinus syndrome, sinoatrial block, or third-degree atrioventricular block. Ivabradine should be used with caution in patients with hepatic impairment and those taking concomitant medications that affect heart rate. Regular monitoring of heart rate and clinical status is recommended during therapy.
