Itrazviv Plus Cream is a topical formulation combining Ofloxacin (0.75% w/w), Ornidazole (2% w/w), Itraconazole (1% w/w), and Clobetasol (0.05% w/w) designed for the effective management of mixed bacterial, protozoal, and fungal skin infections accompanied by inflammation and pruritus. Ofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic, targets susceptible Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria by inhibiting DNA gyrase, thereby preventing bacterial replication. Ornidazole, a nitroimidazole derivative, exhibits potent antiprotozoal and anaerobic antibacterial activity, disrupting DNA synthesis in protozoa and anaerobic bacteria. Itraconazole, a triazole antifungal agent, impedes fungal ergosterol synthesis by inhibiting cytochrome P450-dependent 14α-demethylase, leading to impaired fungal cell membrane integrity. Clobetasol propionate, a potent topical corticosteroid, provides anti-inflammatory, antipruritic, and vasoconstrictive effects, reducing erythema, edema, and discomfort associated with inflammatory dermatoses. This combination is indicated for complex dermal infections where multiple pathogens coexist, particularly in cases resistant to monotherapy. The cream should be applied as directed, avoiding prolonged use to minimize corticosteroid-related adverse effects such as skin atrophy or hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression. Caution is advised in patients with hypersensitivity to any component, and use on extensive areas or broken skin should be under medical supervision.
