Isoprim SR Tablet contains Isoxsuprine 40mg, a selective beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist primarily used as a vasodilator and smooth muscle relaxant. It is indicated for the management of peripheral vascular disorders such as Raynaud’s phenomenon, Buerger’s disease, and other conditions characterized by impaired blood flow due to vasospasm. Isoxsuprine acts by relaxing the smooth muscles of blood vessels, leading to vasodilation and improved peripheral circulation. Additionally, it may be employed in obstetrics to inhibit premature labor by relaxing uterine muscles.
