Insuflow 100 Tablet contains Sitagliptin 100 mg, a potent dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. Sitagliptin works by enhancing the body's natural ability to regulate blood glucose levels through the inhibition of the DPP-4 enzyme, which results in increased levels of incretin hormones. These hormones stimulate insulin release from pancreatic beta cells in a glucose-dependent manner and suppress glucagon secretion from alpha cells, thereby improving glycemic control.

Insuflow 100 is typically prescribed as monotherapy or in combination with other antidiabetic agents such as metformin, sulfonylureas, or insulin when diet and exercise alone do not provide adequate glycemic control. The medication is administered orally, with or without food, usually once daily. Sitagliptin has a favorable safety profile, with a low risk of hypoglycemia when used as monotherapy.
Common adverse effects may include nasopharyngitis, headache, and upper respiratory tract infections. Dose adjustments may be necessary in patients with renal impairment. Insuflow 100 Tablet should be used under medical supervision, with regular monitoring of blood glucose levels to optimize therapeutic outcomes and minimize potential side effects.
