Indvent 625 Tablet is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin 500 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg, designed to treat a broad spectrum of bacterial infections. Amoxycillin, a beta-lactam antibiotic, inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. Clavulanic Acid acts as a beta-lactamase inhibitor, preventing enzymatic degradation of Amoxycillin by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria, thereby enhancing its efficacy against resistant strains. Indvent 625 is indicated for the management of infections caused by susceptible organisms, including respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, otitis media, and sinusitis. The combination offers improved activity against beta-lactamase-producing pathogens such as Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus influenzae, and certain anaerobes. It is administered orally, with dosage and duration tailored according to the severity and type of infection, as well as patient-specific factors. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort. Hypersensitivity reactions, although rare, warrant immediate medical attention. Caution is advised in patients with a history of penicillin allergy or hepatic impairment.
