Indocap SR Capsule contains Indomethacin 75mg, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used primarily for its potent analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties. Indomethacin exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Indocap SR is indicated for the management of various inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, gouty arthritis, and other musculoskeletal disorders.

The sustained-release formulation ensures prolonged drug action, allowing for improved patient compliance through reduced dosing frequency. It is also utilized in the treatment of acute pain and inflammation following surgical procedures or trauma. Caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding disorders, renal or hepatic impairment, and cardiovascular diseases due to the risk of adverse effects such as gastrointestinal irritation, bleeding, renal dysfunction, and increased cardiovascular events.
Indocap SR should be administered under medical supervision with appropriate monitoring. Concomitant use with other NSAIDs, anticoagulants, or corticosteroids requires careful consideration to avoid potential drug interactions. Patients should be advised to report any signs of adverse reactions promptly.
