Inapure ER 15 Tablet contains Ivabradine 15 mg, an effective heart rate-lowering agent primarily used in the management of chronic stable angina pectoris and chronic heart failure. Ivabradine selectively inhibits the If (funny) current in the sinoatrial node, resulting in heart rate reduction without affecting myocardial contractility or intracardiac conduction. This mechanism contributes to decreased myocardial oxygen demand and improved exercise tolerance in patients with angina. In chronic heart failure, Ivabradine helps reduce hospitalization rates by improving cardiac efficiency and symptoms in patients with a resting heart rate above 70 beats per minute despite optimal beta-blocker therapy or when beta-blockers are contraindicated. Inapure ER 15 is formulated as an extended-release tablet, ensuring a sustained therapeutic effect with once or twice-daily dosing, enhancing patient compliance. It is contraindicated in patients with acute decompensated heart failure, severe hypotension, sinoatrial block, or severe hepatic impairment. Common adverse effects include bradycardia, luminous phenomena (phosphenes), and headache. Dose adjustments may be necessary in hepatic impairment.
