Impoxyclave Dry Syrup Strawberry is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Amoxycillin 400 mg and Clavulanic Acid 57 mg per 5 ml of reconstituted suspension. Amoxycillin, a broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic, acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death, while Clavulanic Acid, a beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of Amoxycillin by preventing enzymatic degradation by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria. This synergistic action extends the antimicrobial spectrum against resistant strains of Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. Impoxyclave Dry Syrup is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections including respiratory tract infections, otitis media, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and dental infections. The strawberry flavor facilitates pediatric compliance. The dry syrup formulation requires reconstitution with water prior to administration, ensuring accurate dosing and stability.
