Imol Suspension is a combination analgesic and antipyretic formulation containing Ibuprofen 100 mg and Paracetamol 162.5 mg per dose. This suspension is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain and fever associated with conditions such as headache, dental pain, musculoskeletal discomfort, and febrile illnesses. Ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in pain and inflammation. Paracetamol (acetaminophen) acts centrally to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis, providing effective analgesic and antipyretic effects without significant anti-inflammatory action. The combination of these two agents offers a synergistic effect, enhancing pain relief and fever reduction while minimizing the dose-related adverse effects of each component when used alone. Imol Suspension is suitable for pediatric use, with dosing adjusted according to age and weight, under medical supervision.
