Immsoria is indicated as part of combination therapy for multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) and should be administered under strict medical supervision due to its potential neurotoxic side effects. Common adverse reactions include headache, dizziness, tremors, and in some cases, peripheral neuropathy or seizures, necessitating careful dose adjustment and monitoring. It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to cycloserine or those with severe renal impairment.
Caution is advised when prescribing to individuals with a history of psychiatric disorders or epilepsy. Regular monitoring of neurological status and serum drug levels is recommended to minimize toxicity risk.
