Igcip-D Eye/Ear Drops contain Ciprofloxacin (0.3% w/v) and Dexamethasone (0.1% w/v), combining a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic with a potent corticosteroid. Ciprofloxacin acts by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, thereby preventing bacterial replication and effectively treating susceptible bacterial infections. Dexamethasone provides anti-inflammatory effects by suppressing the release of inflammatory mediators and reducing tissue edema, redness, and discomfort associated with ocular or otic inflammation.

Igcip-D is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections of the eye and ear where inflammation is present, such as conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis, otitis externa, and otitis media with tympanic membrane perforation. The combination therapy targets both infection and inflammation, promoting faster resolution of symptoms and preventing complications. Administration should follow aseptic techniques to avoid contamination.
Use is contraindicated in viral, fungal, or mycobacterial infections and in patients with hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin, dexamethasone, or any component of the formulation. Caution is advised in glaucoma or cataract patients due to corticosteroid effects. Adverse reactions may include transient burning, stinging, or irritation. Therapy duration should be as prescribed to minimize resistance development and ensure clinical efficacy.

How to use Igcip-D Ophthalmic Solution This medicine is for external use only. Take it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off extra liquid.
