Ibuprofen exerts its therapeutic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) enzymes, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins involved in pain, inflammation, and fever.

This oral suspension formulation is designed for pediatric and adult patients who have difficulty swallowing tablets, providing an accurate and palatable dosing option. The orange flavor enhances palatability, improving compliance in children. Ibugesic Oral Suspension should be administered according to the prescribed dosage, typically every 6 to 8 hours, with caution to avoid exceeding the maximum daily dose.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other NSAIDs, and should be used cautiously in individuals with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding disorders, renal or hepatic impairment, or cardiovascular disease. Adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, dizziness, and, rarely, hypersensitivity reactions.
