Ibugesic AP Tablet contains a combination of Aceclofenac 100 mg and Paracetamol 325 mg, formulated for the management of pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and other inflammatory conditions. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to a reduction in prostaglandin synthesis, thereby alleviating pain and inflammation. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic agent, enhances the analgesic effect by acting centrally to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis in the brain, providing effective relief from mild to moderate pain and fever. The combination offers synergistic benefits, improving efficacy while potentially reducing the dose-related adverse effects associated with each component when used alone. Ibugesic AP is indicated for the treatment of acute musculoskeletal pain, dental pain, postoperative pain, and fever.
