Ibuflamar-P 400mg/325mg Tablet is a combination analgesic and antipyretic formulation containing Ibuprofen 400mg and Paracetamol 325mg. This medication is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain, including headaches, dental pain, musculoskeletal pain, and dysmenorrhea, as well as for the reduction of fever. Ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and fever. Paracetamol acts centrally to elevate the pain threshold and reduce fever through inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis in the central nervous system. The combination of these two agents provides a synergistic effect, enhancing analgesic efficacy while allowing lower doses of each component, potentially minimizing adverse effects. Ibuflamar-P should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding disorders, hepatic or renal impairment, and hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or paracetamol. It is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic or renal dysfunction and known hypersensitivity to any component.
