Hybactum-T Injection is a sterile, injectable antibiotic formulation containing Cefoperazone 1000 mg and Tazobactam 125 mg per vial. Cefoperazone, a third-generation cephalosporin, exhibits broad-spectrum bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative pathogens. Tazobactam, a potent beta-lactamase inhibitor, enhances the efficacy of Cefoperazone by preventing enzymatic degradation by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria, thereby extending the antimicrobial spectrum. Hybactum-T is indicated for the treatment of severe bacterial infections including lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, septicemia, and gynecological infections caused by susceptible organisms. The combination is particularly valuable in managing infections caused by multidrug-resistant strains. Administered intravenously or intramuscularly, dosing should be individualized based on infection severity, pathogen susceptibility, and patient renal and hepatic function. Common adverse effects may include hypersensitivity reactions, gastrointestinal disturbances, and alterations in coagulation parameters. Caution is advised in patients with penicillin or cephalosporin hypersensitivity. Hybactum-T Injection should be used under strict medical supervision to ensure appropriate use and to minimize the risk of resistance development.
