This combination allows for both immediate and sustained glycemic regulation, reducing the frequency of injections compared to separate basal and bolus insulins. Humalog Mix 25 Kwikpen is administered subcutaneously and is indicated for adult and pediatric patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus and for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus when oral agents are insufficient. The Kwikpen device offers a convenient, prefilled, and disposable delivery system, enhancing dosing accuracy and patient compliance.
Dosage must be individualized based on metabolic needs, blood glucose monitoring, and glycemic control goals.
