Etoricoxib, a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor, provides effective analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by selectively blocking the COX-2 enzyme, thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain and inflammation while minimizing gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with non-selective NSAIDs. Thiocolchicoside, a muscle relaxant with anti-inflammatory properties, acts by inhibiting excitatory neurotransmission in muscle fibers, leading to relief from muscle spasms and stiffness.
