Hopace 5 Tablet contains Ramipril 5 mg, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor primarily indicated for the management of hypertension, congestive heart failure, and for reducing the risk of cardiovascular events in high-risk patients. Ramipril works by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor, thereby promoting vasodilation, reducing peripheral vascular resistance, and decreasing blood pressure. This mechanism also reduces the workload on the heart and improves cardiac output. Hopace 5 is effective in preventing stroke, myocardial infarction, and cardiovascular mortality in patients with established vascular disease or diabetes with end-organ damage.
