Hemer 1 GM Injection contains Meropenem 1000 mg, a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacterial infections. It is indicated for the treatment of severe or complicated infections including intra-abdominal infections, bacterial meningitis, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and septicemia caused by susceptible organisms.

Meropenem acts by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis, leading to cell lysis and death. The drug exhibits excellent penetration into various tissues and body fluids, making it suitable for systemic infections. Hemer 1 GM Injection should be administered intravenously, with dosage and duration tailored according to the severity of infection, renal function, and patient response.
It is generally well tolerated; however, potential adverse effects include hypersensitivity reactions, gastrointestinal disturbances, and transient elevations in liver enzymes. Caution is advised in patients with a history of beta-lactam allergy. Renal function monitoring is recommended during prolonged therapy to adjust dosing appropriately.
