Sacubitril is a neprilysin inhibitor that enhances the levels of natriuretic peptides, promoting vasodilation, natriuresis, and diuresis, thereby reducing cardiac workload. Valsartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), inhibits the effects of angiotensin II, leading to vasodilation, decreased aldosterone secretion, and reduced blood pressure. The synergistic action of these agents helps improve cardiac function and reduce the risk of hospitalization and mortality in patients with chronic heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Hefcard 200 is indicated for patients who remain symptomatic despite optimal standard therapy. It is essential to initiate treatment under medical supervision, with appropriate monitoring of renal function, electrolytes, and blood pressure. Contraindications include a history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor or ARB therapy, pregnancy, and severe hepatic impairment.
