Tinidazole, a nitroimidazole derivative, offers potent antiprotozoal and antibacterial effects, particularly against anaerobic pathogens commonly implicated in wound infections. Sucralfate serves as a cytoprotective agent, promoting mucosal healing by forming a protective barrier over the wound surface, enhancing tissue regeneration and reducing inflammation. The synergistic combination in Healodress Ointment facilitates accelerated wound healing while minimizing the risk of secondary infections.
It is indicated for the treatment of infected traumatic wounds, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure sores, and other chronic non-healing ulcers. The ointment should be applied topically to the affected area once or twice daily after appropriate wound cleaning. Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components. Healodress Ointment is intended for external use only and should be used under medical supervision to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes.
