Healdase-MR Gel is a topical formulation combining Diclofenac (1.0% w/w), Linseed Oil (3% w/w), Menthol (5% w/w), Methyl Salicylate (10% w/w), and Thiocolchicoside (0.125% w/w) designed for the management of musculoskeletal pain and inflammation. Diclofenac, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), provides potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Linseed Oil contributes anti-inflammatory and skin-conditioning properties, enhancing the overall therapeutic effect. Menthol and Methyl Salicylate act as counterirritants, producing a cooling sensation that helps alleviate pain through sensory nerve stimulation and improved local blood circulation. Thiocolchicoside, a muscle relaxant, alleviates muscle spasms by acting on glycine receptors, thereby improving mobility and comfort in conditions such as strains, sprains, and myalgia.
