HB Gold P 100mg/325mg Tablet is a combination analgesic and anti-inflammatory medication containing Aceclofenac 100mg and Paracetamol 325mg. Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that exerts its effect by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes (COX-1 and COX-2), thereby reducing the synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for pain, inflammation, and fever. Paracetamol, also known as acetaminophen, provides analgesic and antipyretic effects through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, complementing the anti-inflammatory action of Aceclofenac. This combination is indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and other inflammatory conditions. It is also effective in managing postoperative pain, dental pain, and soft tissue injuries. HB Gold P should be used with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulceration, hepatic or renal impairment, and cardiovascular disease. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, and dizziness. The medication should be taken as prescribed, preferably after meals to minimize gastric irritation. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Aceclofenac, Paracetamol, or other NSAIDs. Regular monitoring is advised during prolonged therapy to detect any potential adverse effects.
