It is indicated for the treatment of various infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria, including respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia, urinary tract infections, uncomplicated gonorrhea, otitis media, and pharyngitis/tonsillitis. Halxim 200 DT is formulated as a dispersible tablet, facilitating ease of administration, particularly in pediatric and geriatric populations. The drug demonstrates excellent oral bioavailability and is primarily excreted unchanged via the kidneys.
