Halgesic-CZ Tablet is a combination analgesic and muscle relaxant formulation containing Aceclofenac (100 mg), Paracetamol (325 mg), and Chlorzoxazone (250 mg). Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts potent anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase enzymes, thereby reducing prostaglandin synthesis. Paracetamol provides additional analgesic and antipyretic activity through central inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis, complementing the effects of Aceclofenac. Chlorzoxazone acts as a centrally-acting muscle relaxant, alleviating muscle spasm and associated pain by depressing interneuronal activity in the spinal cord and subcortical areas of the brain. This combination is indicated for the management of musculoskeletal conditions characterized by pain and muscle spasm, such as strains, sprains, low back pain, and other soft tissue injuries. Halgesic-CZ offers effective symptomatic relief by addressing inflammation, pain, and muscle spasm concurrently. It should be used under medical supervision, with caution in patients with hepatic, renal, or cardiovascular impairment, and avoided in those with known hypersensitivity to any component.
