Gushout Tablet contains Potassium Magnesium Citrate (978 mg) as its active ingredient, formulated to support the management of urinary tract health and prevent the formation of kidney stones. Potassium Magnesium Citrate acts by alkalinizing the urine, thereby reducing the crystallization of calcium salts and promoting their solubility, which helps in preventing recurrent nephrolithiasis. This combination of potassium and magnesium citrate also aids in maintaining electrolyte balance and supports normal muscle and nerve function. Gushout Tablet is indicated for patients with a history of calcium oxalate or uric acid kidney stones and those requiring urinary alkalinization. It is particularly beneficial in conditions associated with metabolic acidosis or hypocitraturia. The tablet should be administered as per the prescribing physician’s instructions, typically with meals to enhance absorption and minimize gastrointestinal discomfort. Caution is advised in patients with renal impairment, hyperkalemia, or those on potassium-sparing diuretics, as excessive potassium levels may lead to serious cardiac complications.
