GP 3 Tablet contains Glimepiride 3mg, an oral hypoglycemic agent belonging to the sulfonylurea class, indicated for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. GP 3 Tablet is prescribed as an adjunct to diet and exercise to achieve optimal blood glucose levels. Its efficacy in lowering both fasting and postprandial blood glucose contributes to the reduction of long-term diabetic complications. The dosage should be individualized based on patient response and glycemic targets, with careful monitoring to minimize the risk of hypoglycemia, a common adverse effect associated with sulfonylureas. Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, as well as in elderly patients who may be more susceptible to hypoglycemia.
