Glyoka-M1 Forte Tablet PR is intended for patients inadequately controlled on diet and exercise alone or those requiring additional glycemic control beyond monotherapy. The prolonged-release formulation ensures a steady plasma concentration, minimizing gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with metformin immediate-release formulations.
It is essential to monitor renal function prior to and during therapy due to the risk of lactic acidosis associated with metformin. Caution is advised in patients with hepatic impairment, cardiovascular disease, or conditions predisposing to hypoxia.
