It is indicated for patients with type 2 diabetes who have not achieved adequate glycemic control through diet and exercise alone. Glycozide 60mg MR should be used as part of a comprehensive diabetes management plan, including lifestyle modifications such as diet and physical activity. The medication is contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe renal or hepatic impairment, and hypersensitivity to sulfonylureas.
