Glycinorm-OD 60 Tablet MR contains Gliclazide 60 mg, a sulfonylurea class oral hypoglycemic agent used in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. The modified-release (MR) formulation allows for a gradual and sustained release of the active ingredient, promoting stable plasma concentrations and reducing the risk of hypoglycemia compared to immediate-release formulations.

Glycinorm-OD 60 is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes when diet alone is insufficient. It is particularly useful in patients who have not achieved adequate glycemic control with lifestyle modifications and require pharmacological intervention. The once-daily dosing regimen enhances patient compliance and convenience.
Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, and it is contraindicated in patients with type 1 diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, or hypersensitivity to sulfonylureas. Regular monitoring of blood glucose levels and periodic assessment of renal and hepatic function are recommended during therapy. Glycinorm-OD 60 should be used under medical supervision to optimize therapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse effects.
