Teneligliptin, a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor, enhances endogenous incretin hormone levels, thereby increasing insulin secretion and suppressing glucagon release in a glucose-dependent manner. The extended-release formulation ensures a gradual and consistent plasma concentration, improving patient compliance and minimizing gastrointestinal side effects commonly associated with immediate-release metformin.
